The Beverly Hills diet was the brainchild of Judy Mazel (a Hollywood actress). The diet is largely based on fruit consumption which is said to aid in maximizing the body's fat burning ability.

The diet follows a 35 day plan in which certain fruits are consumed for the first 10 days and different fruits are added as time passes.
