Met-Rx Meal Replacement
Met-Rx Meal Replacement is a product in the long line of Met-Rx products available on the market. I have reviewed many Met-Rx products on this site as well as other reviewers. To see some of these reviews for Met-Rx products, check out the links below:
I will review the product based on a variety of characteristics outlined below and give a brief summary under each point.

Each serving of Met-Rx Meal Replacement contains 260 calories. 25 of those calories are from fat [2.5 grams] with 21 grams from carbohydrates and 38 grams from protein. This is a good breakdown overall and it contains a very high amount of protein per serving. I am content with 20-30 grams per serving, usually hoping for something in the middle. In this case, it contains more protein content than I am accustomed to but that is fine and will be especially beneficial for those on a bodybuilding diet who seek more protein than the average person who is training.
I tried the "Chocolate Peanut Butter" flavour of the Met-Rx Meal Replacement and I thought it was very good. I blended it in the blender with skim milk and orange juice as well as a few frozen strawberries for some additional flavour. When I initially drank it I thought that it was very thick so I added some more milk and orange juice and tried it again and it was still fairly thick. I don't necessarily think that is a bad thing although some people may be concerned with it. I thought that the chocolate peanut butter flavour was delicious and I was very happy with the taste overall. 9/10.
I blended Met-Rx Meal Replacement in a blender and as I said, it was pretty thick even after I added additional milk and orange juice to reduce the thickness. I still found that it blended easily overall and was very consistent as a blended shake. Although I should note again that some people may have an issue with the thickness of the shake. 7/10.
I have been trying to pay very close attention lately as to whether or not protein shakes cause me any stomach discomfort as some of them have, albeit mildly enough to basically go unnoticed to me unless I am really keen on paying attention. I am also a person who is rather in touch with myself and would notice immediately if it was a serious problem. As far as the Met-Rx Meal Replacement is concerned, I did not experience any discomfort, even mildly. It was a very filling shake to drink and in a sense, the fullness after drinking the shake creeps up on you because you can easily drink a lot of calories quickly, but otherwise this product gave me no negative side effects and I am very happy with that.
Met-Rx Meal Replacement does not engage in bravado label claims promising to turn all users into giant muscular beings or anything along those lines. Some of the claims from Met-Rx include statements such as "Free of hydrogenated oils, which means no trans-fats!" which is true, as well as "38 grams of the exclusive METAMYOSYN protein blend to promote lean muscle building." which is a relatively benign statement only promising the promotion of lean muscle building. For other statement claims check out the . I would say that meal replacements are difficult to judge as they are not intended to be cumulative supplements such as creatine.
My personal expderience with Met-Rx Meal Replacement was a positive one overall. It was a good tasting and nutrition-filled shake which I enjoyed and look forward to trying again. You can buy 18 packets for $34.99 and 40 packets for $64.99 by checking out the links below. Overall I would give this product an 8/10 and will definitely try it again.
